ABA therapy, or Applied Behavior Analysis therapy, is a type of treatment for individuals with autism and other developmental disorders.

It is often used to help individuals with autism learn new skills and improve their social, communication, and adaptive behaviors.

ABA therapy can take place in a variety of settings, including in the home, in a clinic, or in a school.

It can be provided by a team of professionals, including a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBAs) and Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBTs).

ABA therapy is covered by commercial health insurance, and by Medicaid in the states that we operate in. We participate on both an in-network, and out-of-network basis with many insurance carriers.

A BCBA is a caring and knowledgeable professional who specializes in helping individuals with autism. They use a science-based approach called applied behavior analysis (ABA) to understand and change behavior.

BCBAs are dedicated to helping people with developmental differences reach their full potential with kindness, compassion, and expertise. They are an important part of the team that works to make sure that everyone gets the care and support they need to succeed.

BCBAs work with other professionals, such as Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), to create and implement individualized plans that help individuals achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. They monitor progress closely to make sure that the plan is working and make changes as needed.

To become a BCBA, one needs to have a master's degree in behavior analysis or a related field, complete supervised experience hours, and pass a certification exam. In some locations, there may also be additional requirements.  

An RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is a caring and compassionate member of a clinical team who works with people who have autism or other developmental differences.

They work closely with, and under the supervision and guide of a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) to learn new skills and improve their behaviors through ABA Therapy.  

Some of the things an RBT does include playing fun games, collecting data, and helping individuals with autism learn to perform everyday tasks like brushing their teeth and improving interactions with friends and family.

They also talk to family members and caregivers to make sure everyone is on the same page while working in lockstep with, and under the supervision and guidance of a BCBA (Board Certified Behavioral Analyst). 

The goal of an RBT is to help people with developmental differences improve their skills and live their best life.

They use special techniques to teach new skills, reduce problem behaviors, and help individuals become more independent.
